Position Summary

  • The Employee Health Nurse is a professional nurse who is currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
  • Works under direct leadership of the Director of Human Resources with supervision by Infection Control and  Prevention Nurse.
  • Maintains daily log of employees reporting to Employee Health.
  • Maintains monthly reports for the Safety Committee regarding accidents, injuries, and work-related illnesses.
  • Responsible for immunizing all employees in accordance with CDC, ACIP, and State Guidelines.
  • Acts as a consultant to the Health System and Medical Staff concerning Employee Health matters.
  • Responsible for implementation of the Employee Health Program.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
  • Possess leadership skills, clinical ability, computer knowledge, good organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
  • Knowledge in Occupational Health.  This may be by virtue of one or more of the following:  education, training, experience, or certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Other Information

  • Part time, benefit eligible position.
  • 20 hours/week.
