Position Summary

  • Provide outpatient medical nutrition therapy services to patients and Vidant team members in various clinic settings.
  • Provide nutrition counseling and education as part of VIdant's Diabetes Self Management Education program
  • Provide weight loss programs ranging from lifestyle based to Optifast Medical Weight Loss.
  • Provide healthy eating education and health cooking demonstrations at Vidant and community settings.
  • Assist with healthy food environment strategies.
  • Work under the supervision of Coordinator, Nutrition & Weight Loss Clinic.
  • Certified Diabetes Educator preferred.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Nutrition required
  • Masters Degree in Nutrition preferred or equivalent experience
  • One to three years of experience in clinical, community or wellness nutrition
  • Current license in Nutrition and Dietetics in the State of North Carolina required within 6 months of employment.
  • Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or registration eligible
  • Completion of an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics accredited Dietetic Internship

Other Information

  • This position is based in Duplin County and may cross over in Greenville and other other Vidant Nutrition Clinics
  • Duplin Wayne Lenoir, Pender, Onslow, New Hanover
  • Primarily M-F 8a-5p shift, but will require regular (weekly) evening shifts and periodic weekend shifts to meet the schedule needs of patients and programs.
