Position Summary

The Nursing Supervisor holds a position of line authority. Under the direction of the Manager, the Nursing Supervisor is delegated certain responsibilities and authority for managing a nursing unit and/or units. Among these responsibilities are coordinating,, evaluating, and improving nursing care. Through utilization of leadership skills, the Nursing Supervisor assists the Manager in promoting safe, cost-effective, quality patient care on a daily basis.

Minimum Requirements

  • RN License
  • Associate Degree.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Secure/CPI Certification.
  • 3 years experience

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Enrollment in / Completion of BSN in 5 years.
  • Certification by a recognized professional organization is desired.
