Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

 

Responsibilities

  • The Nursing Supervisor is a registered nurse who has the responsibility of clinically managing and coordinating patient care activities on all nursing units.  Is proficient in nursing process and crisis management.  Make acute administrative decisions regarding patient care and support personnel/equipment needs. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited nursing school with an Associates, Bachelors, or Masters Degree.
  • Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • 2 years experience in an acute setting 

Preferred Requirements

  • Critical care experience  
  • NRP
  • PALS

Other Information

  • Full time with benefits
  • Works three 12-hour shifts
  • May be required to work all shifts, including weekends, & holidays
