Position Summary

The candidate who fills this position will function as both an NA II and Unit Secretary in the Emergency Department. The Certified Nursing Assistant II performs specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Functions within the framework of the NAII listing granted by the NC Board of Nursing. Practices within the philosophy and goals of patient care services. They will need to provide a variety of clerical, customer service, computer and receptionist duties for clinical areas and will be responsible for maintenance of a consistent patient medical record. Interdepartmental and intradepartmental communication skills are essential.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active NAI listing with the North Carolina Division of Facility Services is required.
  • Active NAII listing with North Carolina Board of Nursing is required.
  • Current American Heart Association HeartSaver certification is required.
  • High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher.

Preferred Requirements

  • -1+  year NAII experience in acute hospital.
  • -1+ year NAII experience in skilled care/nursing home.
  • -1+ year NAII experience in nursing home.
  • Secretarial Experience in an Acute Hospital.
