Position Summary

Under the clinical supervision of the Neurophysiologist, the Neurology Technologist provides safe, expedient and cost effective services. As a member of a team of professionals, a Neurology Technologist monitors the functional integrity of the nervous system throughout various procedures to reduce the risk of neurological deficits. Neurology Technologists are required to document factual, accurate, complete, timely, legal information about the care they provide to each patient, as well as bill the patient correctly for services provided.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 2 years of formal training/education
  • Associate Degree in an Allied Health program required
  • BS degree in an Allied Health program preferred
  • Active Certified Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) preferred
  • 1-3 years employment experience in a hospital required
  • 1 + years IOM experience in a hospital surgical setting preferred
