Position Summary

This position helps identify opportunities and deploy technical solutions that enable improvements to the delivery of patient care and business operations. Works with a cross functional IS team in the delivery of network services and systems, hardware and software solutions. Helps support LAN/WAN applications, as well as wireless and security, as it relates to the Network Engineering environment. May be asked to lead smaller initiatives in this area.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the selection and implementation of new data network and telecom technologies and adaptation of existing systems, based on the current strategy and roadmap.

  • Participates in all aspects of an organization's network systems including software and hardware. Provides training and mentoring to others.

  • Maintains network architectures (LAN and WAN). Will help develop strategy for future roadmaps.

  • Responsible to learn a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of policies & procedures for standardizing network and telecom work activities.

  • Responsible for maintaining inventory, drawings, and other documentation to represent the network & telecommunication areas.

  • Supports infrastructure and capabilities to support secure and assure compliance of any device access to applications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, computer technology, information management or related field strongly desired

  • 1-3 Certifications in related technologies strongly desired

  • 3-5 plus years of relevant technical experience working in large scale Networking and Telecom Systems

  • 3-5 plus years in network technologies and a comprehensive understanding and hands on work of current Data Network,

  • Telecom, and Video-Conferencing technologies

  • 3-5 plus years of experience with Wireless solutions across a multi-campus facility

Preferred Requirements

  • ??3-5 plus Certifications in related technologies required

  • 5-7 plus years of relevant technical experience working in large scale Networking and Telecom Systems

  • 5-7 plus years in network technologies and a comprehensive understanding and hands on work of current Data Network, Telecom, and Video-Conferencing technologies

  • 5-7 plus years of experience with Wireless solutions across a multi-campus facility
