Position Summary

The Monitor Tech. is an integral member of the patient care team. They are responsible for ensuring the provision of quality patient care and safety during transport of patients through utilization of safety devices and close observation. During the transport of cardiac monitored patients, he/she will ensure safe patient monitoring during transport and trouble shoot cardiac monitors' alarms, parameters and equipment. The Montior Tech, Patient Escorter-Transporter II will transport lab specimens and medications that are needed to appropriate units/departments. He/she will demonstrate knowledge of appropriate technology systems and have basic computer skills. The Transporter will also be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent
  • CPR Certification required - BLS Healthcare Provider through American Heart Association
  • EKG/ECG interpretation class or work experience is required
  • Less than 1 year in a Healthcare setting is required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred
