Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.


  • Effectively collaborate with clinical staff through detailed communication to ensure safe patient monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot cardiac monitor alarms, parameters and equipment.
  • Identify and track cardiac monitor patients on assigned units, ensuring appropriate nursing documentation and validation.
  • Round on cardiac monitor patients to review Lead/pleth placement/maintenance and equipment (i.e. bedside monitor,
  • telemetry box and central station).
  • Assist unit with alarm response.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent
  • CPR is required.
  • EKG interpretation class is required.
  • One year or less experience is required. 

Other Information

  • Must be able to 12 hour shifts
  • Must be able to work straight nights
