Position Summary

The Mental Health Technician is a member of the Behavioral Health patient care team who, under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, performs specific responsibilities within  the framework of the philosophy and objectives of nursing services and hospital  policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate college degree in Human Services or similar major and/or minimum of 1 year work experience in a closely related care environment providing direct patient/resident care (such as an inpatient behavioral health unit, a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, Group Home, etc.)
  • Active NC Nursing Assistant I certification.
  • BLS required.
