About Vidant Edgecombe Hospital

Vidant Edgecombe Hospital, formerly Heritage Hospital, is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro, Edgecombe county and surrounding communities receive a wide range of health services close to home.  Our partnership with Vidant Health enhances our wide range of services and improves the quality of care our patients receive. More than 20 specialties are represented by Vidant Edgecombe Hospital's medical staff, assuring the people of Edgecombe county that almost all their health needs can be met right here at home. In addition to acute care, our services include rehabilitation, oncology and outpatient clinics.


Assists Clinical Program Manager and clinical home care staff in entry of clinical patient documentation, tracking of performance improvement data, filing and maintenance of patient charts and clinical records. Supports reimbursement functions.

  • Customer Service

  • Medical Records with multitasking abilities

  • Scanning, sorting, couriering, numbering, sending/receiving faxes, etc.

  • Interacting with patients on MR window

  • Instructing patients on filling out ROI's, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • One year business office experience in health care setting required.

Preferred Requirements

  • One year experience in medical records.

Other Information

  • Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
  • Lunch break 12:00 pm-1:00 pm
