Position Summary

Support the organization by performing a multitude of various administrative and clerical tasks in a medical office setting.?? Coordinate medical office operations and assist staff by performing secretarial, receptionist, patient scheduling, medical record management, data entry, patient billing/payment.?? Perform regular communication with other medical offices obtaining referral information and with insurance companies to verify coverage for clients.?? Assists with marketing of services to potential patients and navigation of patients to appropriate programs and services.?? Maintains all patient care related documentation in electronic medical records and hard copy where necessary.?? Responsible for ordering, receiving and distribution of office supplies.?? Performs monthly inventory of program supplies and assembles weekly client orders.?? Time management skills to manage and perform multiple tasks and projects is a necessity.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 1 -2 years education/experience is required
  • An additional year of medical office experience may substitute for the 1 year of additional education required beyond high school or equivalent
  • 3 months to 1 year experience required in a clinical or medical office setting
  • Medical Office coursework preferred or experience equivalent
  • Attention to detail, time management skills and the ability to manage and perform multiple tasks and projects
  • Demonstrates ability to work with deadlines and last minute assignments and requests
  • Proficient in computer applications (Excel, Word)
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communications skills by using proper diction
  • Follows the dress code set forth in a professional medical office setting
  • Customer and quality focused is paramount
