Minimum Requirements

We are hiring a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician for this position. 

Requirements for MLT:                                       

  • High school diploma plus 2 years of formal training/education

  • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or currently enrolled in the ECU Clinical Lab Science Program and have completed the specific laboratory rotation ie Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, or Transfusion Services is required

Requirements for MT:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

  • Zero to two years of related experience

  • If Biology, Chemistry, or Physics degree, applicant must have at least one year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Lab Scientist

  • ASCP preferred

Preferred Requirements

  • ASCP, HEW, AMT, AAB, or equivalent certification.

Other Information

  • Part Time with Benefits (20 hours week or combination of 40 hours in two weeks)
  • Shifts would vary based on departmental needed (3:00pm to 11:00pm or 11:00pm to 7:00am or day hours)
