  • Responsible for various secretarial, clerical and receptionist activities. Answer phones, greet patients,and screen calls. Schedule patient appointments.
  • Purchase and distribute office and medical supplies.
  • Assist with charge entry on a timely basis.  
  • Maintains all patient care related documentation in patients' medical records in a timely manner.
  • Verifies consistency and accuracy of clinical information entered into patient charts.Prepares charts, maintains and updates forms and prepares documentation paperwork. 
  • Maintains and monitors medical record documentation and filing. Correctly files all patient documentation verifying accuracy andcompletion of content. 
  • Perform clinical support services within protocol and upon completion of proper training and competency evaluation.
  • Assist medical providers with patient care services as requested.
  • Perform health screenings (vision, blood pressure, weight and vitals), collect blood collection and/or phlebotomy bloodcollection for lab tests
  • Collect health risk appraisals and/or patient histories.

Minimum Requirements

  • HS graduate or equivalent required 
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS
  • One to two years of formal medical assistant training or formal Medical assistant or nursing aide training may be substituted with six months current full time experince in the clinical setting as a Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant , or CNA

Preferred Requirements

  • Bilingual prefered.
