Responsibilities

  • Maintains all patient care related documentation in medical records.
  • Verifies consistency and accuracy of clinical information entered into patient charts.
  • Prepares charts, maintains and updates forms and prepares other documentation paperwork.
  • Maintains medical record filing.
  • Responsible for various secretarial, clerical and receptionist activities such as Answer phones, greet patients, screen calls, schedules patient appointments, etc.
  • Responsible for charge entry.
  • Perform clinical support services within protocol and upon completion of proper training and competency evaluation.
  • Assist medical providers with patient care services as requested.
  • Perform health screenings (vision, blood pressure, weight and vitals) and phlebotomy blood collection for lab tests.
  • Collect health risk appraisals and/or patient histories.

Minimum Requirements

  • HS graduate or equivalent required.
  • One to two years of formal medical assistant preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant required
  • CPR required
