  • Performs clinical support services, assists with secretarial/clerical duties and maintains patient care documentation in medical records.
  • Verifies consistency and accuracy of clinical information entered into patient charts.
  • Prepares charts, maintains and updates forms and prepares documentation paperwork.
  • Maintains and monitors medical record documentation and filing. Correctly files all patient documentation verifying accuracy and completion of content.
  • Answer phones, greet patients, screen calls. Schedules patient appointments.
  • Assist with charge entry on a timely basis.
  • Purchase and distribute office and medical supplies.
  • Performs clinical support services within protocol and upon completion of proper training and competency evaluation.
  • Assists medical providers with patient care services as requested.
  • Performs health screenings (vision, blood pressure, weight and vitals), blood collection and/or phlebotomy blood collection for lab tests.
  • Collects health risk appraisals and/or patient histories.

Minimum Requirements

  • HS graduate or equivalent is required.
  • BLS required.

Preferred Requirements

  • 1-2 years of formal medical assistant or nurse aide training preferred.
  • Formal medical assistant or nursing aide training may be substituted with six months current full time experience in the clinical setting as a Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or CNA.
  • Medical Office experience preferred.
