About Vidant Medical Center

Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to trouble calls. Repairs trouble if within capacity.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance and other skilled maintenance tasks related to utilities and various equipment as necessary.
  • Uses common hand tools, test equipment, machines, power equipment, and related equipment.
  • Assists in maintaining heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties. May call maintenance technician or trade specialist to work areas for emergencies.
  • Cleans work area and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 2 years or more formal training or education.
  • Industrial Maintenance or related degree is required.
  • Welding, Plumbing, Electrical, Electronics and Computers is required.
  • 2 Years related experience may be substituted for education beyond high school. This experience can be obtained working in the field of Electrical, Plumbing, Electronics, Property Management, Industrial Mantenance or related Military Maintenace Training.
  • Mininum 5 years experience in Property Management, Industrial Maintenance, Refrigeration Contractor or Electrical Contractor is required.
  • NC Drivers license required
