Position Summary

  • Project management office (PMO) manager will provide leadership, organization and coordination to support all project management key activities within IS, encompassing program planning, governance and project management.
  • PMO manager will ensure all projects administered by the PMO, IS or non-IS staff managing IS projects adhere to best practices and standard approaches for project management.
  • The PMO Manager manages change and promote the continuous improvement of project management framework and related processes.
  • The role will serve as single point of contact for all IS PMO recruiting needs, as well as responsible for project management practitioner development, performance assessments, development plans and succession planning.

Minimum Requirements

  • Masters or Bachelors in the field of business administration, healthcare administration, computer science, finance, information systems, or related field strongly desired.
  • Project Management Professional Certification required
  • 8-10 years experience in Project Management
  • 5 years experience in Program Management or experience managing multiple interrelated projects
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in project management methodologies and tools, and best practices such as those defined by the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of resource management, portfolio management, demand and intake management techniques.
  • Effective forecasting and budget management experience.
  • Expertise in program management and portfolio management methodologies and tools (MS Project, Visio, Excel, etc.)
  • Solid experience of the SDLC lifecycle and the varying application development methodologies and can apply them appropriately.
  • Proven ability to drive large scale projects with high collaboration and leadership.
  • Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadlines and pressure.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Self-Starter, proactive, demonstrated the ability to motivate team members.
  • Prior experience collaborating with Risk Management, Finance, and Technologies,
  • Demonstrate understanding of complex project management and leverage knowledge of company to identify risk and evaluate impacts on the business,
  • Experience in program management, or coordinating long-term, cross-functional projects.
  • Demonstrated communication skills and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership skills and creativity, as well as strong analytical skills.
  • Strong work-ethic and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial results and analytics to non-finance people.
