Position Summary

  • The manager of peer review will support the mission, vision, and values of VMC and actively supports a culture of quality and safety at VMC.
  • The manager is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, leadership, and integration of peer review services in collaboration with the Senior VP of medical affairs and the AVP of Quality.
  • The manager will maintain responsibility and accountability to ensure peer review is completed according to bylaws, policies, regulations - both internal and external.
  • Will maintain a strong working knowledge of both internal and publicly reported data and data analytics; promotes implementation of best practice, and assists in evaluating strategies to address needed performance improvements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Four year college degree plus other schooling required.
  • Master's degree:  MBA, MSN, MHA or other healthcare related.
  • Must be RN with valid NC RN license, certification in lean, CPHQ preferred.
  • Three to five years experience in healthcare quality, peer review, or performance improvement experience preferably in an acute care setting required.
