  • Recruitment

    • Develops talent acquisition and employment tactics to recruit top talent to fulfill the mission of the organization with a focus on the best fit for the business, Mission and culture of the organization. This includes external and internal sourcing.

    • Builds and guides a recruitment team that will proactively, professionally and continually source, develop and maintain an effective pipeline and network of diverse talent.

    • Seeks creative solutions for sourcing candidates that positions Vidant Health's brand strongly in the marketplace. Identifies and attracts passive job seekers through networking, referrals and direct sourcing methods.

    • Monitors key performance metrics to measure and drive results. Evaluates and assesses effectiveness of recruitment methods to continuously improve talent acquisition efforts and provide return on investment (ROI).

    • Establishes and maintains relationships with senior leadership and departmental management to be a consultative resource and trusted advisor related to recruitment.

    • Assists in transitioning staff displaced due to any required reduction in force or in reallocating staff as necessary based on the operational needs of the organization.

    • Establishes and maintains relationships with colleges, universities, community leaders, organizations, vendors, etc. related to the acquisition of talent.

  • Process Improvement

    • Implements solutions to hiring impediments with full partnership of the HR Leaders       including continuous improvement of enterprise processes and tools.

    • Administers policies and procedures related to recruitment encompassing legal and regulatory requirements of agencies and governing bodies.

  • Manage and Develop Employees

    • Hires, provides performance feedback and evaluation as well as trains, provides professional development, schedules, disciplines and terminates employees as necessary and appropriate.

    • Develops and implements a plan for professional development to guide the recruitment team in their role to become strategic business partners utilizing a coaching and mentoring approach.

    • Maintains a current knowledge and understanding of regulations, laws, current practices and new developments in human resources by participating in professional conferences and educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks and participating in professional organizations.

  • Supports budgetary oversight for department.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4 year college degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is required.

  • Master's preferred.

  • 5 or more years of progressively responsble human resources experience is required.
