Position Summary

The Laboratory Manager is a member of the hospital management staff. The Laboratory Manager functions as a leader, innovator, coordinator, and change agent in the pursuit of improved operations, and is accountable for quality and financial outcomes. The Laboratory Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive and effective working relationship with all hospital departments, employees and medical staff. The Laboratory Manager reports to the Vice President for Patient Care Services.

Minimum Requirements

  • The employee must have graduated from an accredited medical laboratory technician or technology program.
  • Successful completions of MT (ASCP) or HEW examination with a minimum of four (4) years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Previous supervisory, management experience preferred.
