Vidant Health offers comprehensive Information Technology (IT) services and infrastructure to support and enable all aspects of organizational operations. Our IT division consists of a state-of-the-art data center located in Greenville, NC. The data center services all information technology needs of Vidant Health facilities. All Vidant Health owned or leased hospitals are on a common IT platform, including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses Epic's suite of applications. Vidant Health has achieved Meaningful Use Stage 2 recognition and is also approaching Stage 7 for HIMSS Analytics’ Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model (EMRAM) recognition.

Position Summary

The Manager of Identity & Access Managment is responsible for guiding overall architecture, engineering and implementation of Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions enterprise wide. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong collaboration skills, detailed working knowledge of current and emerging IAM and related technologies, and familiarity with implementing IAM solutions for a regulated business environment. The position engages key business stakeholders and customers as it relates to all supported systems and applications to verify, validate and audit system access. In addition, this position will be responsible for providing leadership, training, and mentoring to the Identity and Access Management Team.

The Manager of Identity & Access Management acts as the expert resource for Identity and Access Management and handles complex issues. Leads team that administers, monitors, evaluates, and analyzes system access controls and security features, as well as business processes and procedures. The manager protects data and systems from unauthorized access, while providing access required to support innovation and information sharing throughout the organization. The manager is responsible for risk detection and remediation. The manager is responsible for the development and on-going coordination of Continuous Improvement projects. The IAM Manager sets objectives, organizes, and directs the staff to ensure that services are delivered to meet client business needs and expectations. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management of Computer Information Systems or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that results in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work in lieu of degree.

  • Five to seven years IAM related experience.

  • Subject matter expertise in Identity and Access Management.

  • Experience with Identity & Access Management technologies (SailPoint, Oracle Identity Analytics, Savyint, etc.).

Preferred Requirements

  • Electronic health record provisioning or build experience (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.)

  • Entitlement management; Enterprise directory architecture and design; Role Based Access Control; Single sign on; Identity federation; and/or privileged access management.

  • DoD 8570 IAM, Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), Certified Identity Governance Expert (CIGE), CISSP, CISM, or similar certification

  • Experience with reading / writing code in an object oriented programming language (Java, C#, Python, etc.) and with web services (JSON, SOAP, XML, etc.)

  • Basic understanding in writing SQL and PL/SQL as well as understanding of relational databases

  • 2+ years of experience with managing teams working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
