Position Summary

  • The Nurse Manager is a professional nurse who is currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. 
  • He/she is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, giving, and evaluating nursing care for a designated unit, under the direction and guidance of the Vice President of Patient Care Services, and is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care and for the optimum function of the unit nursing staff.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, practices, policies, and procedures, and be capable of motivating staff.
  • Delivers care based on patient needs, appropriate for the pediatric, adolescent, adult, or geriatric patient. 
  • Demonstrates an interest in patient-centered approach to total nursing care. 
  • Must work with committee for JCAHO and fulfill all duties and responsibilities of it.

Minimum Requirements

  • Registered Nurse in North Carolina
  • BSN in Nursing
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • 24/7 Accountability

Preferred Requirements

  • Preferably Master's Degree in Nursing
