Halifax Regional Medical Center is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute bed facility where residents of Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties in North Carolina and Mecklenburg, Brunswick and Greensville in Virginia receive a wide range of health services close to home. Halifax Regional Medical Center’s team of more than 60 providers and 850 employees represent most medical specialties. In addition to 24-hour emergency care, we also offer intensive care, medical, surgical, orthopedic, behavioral health, rehabilitation and therapy services; a cardiac catheterization lab; and outpatient clinics. Position Summary

Assess psychosocial functioning. Plan and implement direct and indirect social work services. Must have working knowledge of the principles and practices of social work and community agencies, including individual, group, and family therapy. Work collaboratively with providers in the office.

Minimum Requirements

  • Masters Degree or higher
  • Three to four years related experience
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification
  • Non-violent crisis intervention training. If not current at time of hire, must complete within first 30 days of employment and maintained without lapse during employment
