About Vidant Duplin Hospital

Vidant Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed, not-for-profit hospital, located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The newly renovated, 15-bed ER serves approximately 22,000 patients per year from the local community and surrounding towns.

Responsibilities

  • The lead lab tech must maintain a safe environment for employees, patients and visitors. 

  • The Lead Lab Tech functions as a leader assisting the Laboratory Manager in coordination of activities to bring about change in the pursuit of improved operations, contributing to continuous quality improvement. 

  • The Lead Lab Tech must develop and maintain a positive and effective working relationship with all hospital departments, employees and medical staff.

Minimum Requirements

  • The employee must have graduated from an accredited medical laboratory technician or technology program. 
  • Successful completion of MT (ASCP/AMT) HEW examination or registry eligible (MT) with certification.
  • Previous supervisory or management  experience.

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience preferred.
  • Current BLS preferred.
