Vidant Health offers comprehensive Information Technology (IT) services and infrastructure to support and enable all aspects of organizational operations. Our IT division consists of a state-of-the-art data center located in Greenville, NC. The data center services all information technology needs of Vidant Health facilities. All Vidant Health owned or leased hospitals are on a common IT platform, including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses Epic's suite of applications. Vidant Health has achieved Meaningful Use Stage 2 recognition and is also approaching Stage 7 for HIMSS Analytics’ Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model (EMRAM) recognition.

Position Summary

This position is the onsite technical lead and is responsible for monitoring that standards, processes and policies are being followed by End User Support Analysts in order to ensure support is delivered in a consistent and timely fashion, and in line with IS mission and objectives. Lead End User Analysts are responsible for printer builds and management as well as to oversee and assist in the installation and troubleshooting of our end user computing environment, both hardware and software. Collaborating with End User Support Manager and Analysts, as well as other IS groups as necessary. Support will be delivered with the highest level of customer service.

This position will cover Duplin, Edgecombe, Beaufort, and Wilson. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Preferred College diploma in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems or other technology specialties or equivalent work experience.

  • Multiple certifications in Microsoft/CompTia or other agreed upon job relevant IS certification required within one year of start date.

  • Knowledge of advanced technology hardware and applications used in a healthcare environment

  • Experience with supporting desktop and laptops running on a windows platform

  • Experience with enterprise applications, asset management tools, diagnostic utilities, remote support tools and enterprise anti-virus tools

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment for self and team members

  • Experience in maintaining task schedules, and meeting project deadlines required

  • Experience supporting customers with complex technology issues

  • Experience with Desktop and server operating systems, including administration/management experience

  • Experience conducting research into a wide range of computing issues as required

  • Minimum of 5 years experience supporting complex and diverse technical environments

  • Has a diverse understanding of foundation architecture, hardware, and software
