Responsibilities

  • Assists in providing direct quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Participates in the assessment of patients. Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating/revising the plan of care.
  • Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote professional development.
  • Develops leadership role within the LPN scope of practice.
  • Participates in Service Excellence Program. Serves as a role model for students and other employees.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus less than 1 year of formal training or education. Specify: LPN Diploma.
  • CPR certification.
  • Exposure and practice of medication administration from educational preparation and student clinical practice.
  • NC LPN license or evidence of application for endorsement and holding temporary LPN licensure.

Preferred Requirements

  • Medical office experience preferred.
