Position Summary

  • The Infection Preventionist is responsible for the Infection Prevention and Control Program, developed to control the spread of infections and/or outbreaks. 
  • Track and monitor transmissible diseases and notify local, state and federal authorities about reportable diseases as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or Allied Health/
  • RN or MT(ASCP)/MLS(ASCP) required for nursing and clinical laboratory professionals.
  • 5 years experience in healthcare setting.
  • Certification in Infection Control in 3 years and recertified every 5 years.

Other Information

  • Hours Monday - Friday / 8am - 5pm.
  • Will be on call once every 8 weeks.
