Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.

Vidant Medical Group, located in Greenville, North Carolina is seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join its team. Candidates with fellowship training in Geriatrics and/or Hospice and Palliative Care are preferred.

Vidant Health has a strong history and track record of serving the community and patients with hospice, palliative care and advanced care planning.  The successful candidate will serve as physician of Vidant Hospice and Palliative Care.  The candidate will also provide inpatient care, outpatient services, and provide oversight of Vidant’s Home Health & Hospice Agency. Candidates with electronic medical record experience a plus.

Highlights include: 

  • Established palliative care consult service with nearly 125 new consults per month by nurse practitioners and physician assistants
  • Support by 5 nurse practitioners and physician assistants
  • Established team o f RN’s, social workers, and chaplains
  • 18-bed Palliative Care Unit including a new accepting service
  • 8-bed freestanding Inpatient Hospice House with an occupancy rate of 87% in the past year and breaking 100% in recent months
  • Development of expanded outpatient palliative care services
