Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Position Summary

Responsible for all COVID-19 screening processes for those who enter the hospital doors while ensuring the appropriate hand hygiene and personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and performs the screening process for all who enter the hospital. Performs a variety of activites related to the COVID-19 screening of patients, visitors, and team members.
  • Ensures all are protected through the screening process.
  • Follows standard precautions and uses PPE as required. Instructs all on the appropriate hand hygiene and masking expectations.
  • Directs patients, visitors, vendors, etc. on where to go after they are screened.

Minimum Requirements

  • Basic Skill Set (must be able to read and write)
  • Dependable
  • Great customer service skills

  • Temporary part-time position without benefits
  • Saturday-Sunday (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
  • 20 hours per week
