Position Summary

  • The GME Program Assistant will support the operations of the VMC Graduate Medical Education Office. Strong critical thinking skills, including organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills are required. Advanced knowledge of computer and webbased technologies preferred. Professional handling of exposure to confidential and sensitive information is required.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School + 1-2 yrs of formal training/education is required.
  • Associates in Arts, Human Resourses, Business Administration or related field is required.
  • Residency Management Database is Preferred.  
  • 5 years or greater related experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting with managed care credentialing, graduate medical education or human resources.
  • A four year degree may substitute for the required experience.
