Vidant Health offers comprehensive Information Technology (IT) services and infrastructure to support and enable all aspects of organizational operations. Our IT division consists of a state-of-the-art data center located in Greenville, NC. The data center services all information technology needs of Vidant Health facilities. All Vidant Health owned or leased hospitals are on a common IT platform, including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses Epic's suite of applications. Vidant Health has achieved Meaningful Use Stage 2 recognition and is also approaching Stage 7 for HIMSS Analytics’ Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model (EMRAM) recognition.

Position Summary

The Functional Manager, ERP Applications will provide hands-on management of the day-to-day support for Vidant Health's PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, Stratajazz, Kronos, and EPSI systems, as well as other applications as defined. The position requires a strong understanding of business procedures and practices in addition to the technical aspects of the system.

The Functional Manager, ERP Applications will coordinate and manage the process, workflow and content design, definition, build, deployment and day-to-day management of the team of business and QA analysts. This position requires open communication and strong partnerships with the business to fully understand their processes, discover needs and translate requirements of functional and technical specifications to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the delivery process.

Responsibilities

  • Implements solutions incorporating an exceptional level of communication and organizational skills among IS technical and application staff.
  • Provides integrated focus and direction to staff based upon the assignment of clearly defined tasks, due dates and deliverable/outcome expectations.
  • Demonstrate that they can manage and mentor personnel to ensure most effective utilization of individual skills and staff development.
  • Works closely with staff who conduct testing to ensure content additions, changes, defects, upgrades, etc. work as designed within all workflows.
  • Responsible for planning, communicating, leading and coordinating system changes/additions/enhancements with all affected areas and uses in advance of production deployment.
  • Must be detail, action, solution and results oriented and must demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in managing their functional area.

Minimum Requirements

Education, Certifications or Licenses:

  • Masters/Bachelors degree in business, computer technology, information systems or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with PeopleSoft HCM or FSCM systems and at least 3 years of experience with managing or leading and developing staff with a strong understanding of business operations is required.

  • Strong foundation in PeopleSoft HCM, Payroll, Financials, Procurement and Supplier Management systems and good understanding of People Soft technical components and software solutions for business use.

  • Demonstrated track record implementing and successfully managing application design, analysis, development and integration related to PeopleSoft core modules, HCM, Payroll & Finance Supply Chain Management and Interfaces strongly desired.

  • Experience in the healthcare industry desired.
  • Acute attention to detail and accuracy,
  • Strong Understanding of PeopleSoft tools and technologies is highly preferred.
