Vidant Chowan Hospital

Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties in the areas of food preparation, assemble trays, dishwashing, and sanitation. Insures that the regulations and requirements for sanitation and safety are met daily.

  • Understands therapeutic diets and their specific application to duties of each station on the tray line.

  • Delivers all services using excellent customer skills.

  • Assists in preparation, set-up and delivery of special functions as assigned.

  • Responsible for completing daily work sheets, cleaning, temperature, production etc.

  • Assist with special functions and floor stock as needed.

  • Drives company van to deliver meals to Vidant Bertie Hospital

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Current Drivers License

Preferred Requirements

  • ServSafe Certification

  • Experience in food services

Other Information

  • TEMPORARY POSITION

  • Full time hours (32-40 hours per week)

  • Non-benefit position

  • Shifts will vary

  • Includes some weekends and holidays

  • Pay scale $8.40-$13.44
