Responsibilities

  • Diet Assessment Skills (Knows what each diet requires) Regular,Soft, Low Cholesterol, Liquid Diet: Full and Clear, ADA, Diet Manual Use, Recording Diets in Dietary Department
  • Meal Service Preparation: Tray line, Menus, Production Sheets, Portion Control, Proper food temperature.
  • Meal Delivery: Delivers correct meal to correct patient room, delivers correct nourishment to floors, correctly reports NPO sign to nurses station if meal for room.
  • Proper Food Handling: Gloves when direct contact with food, waste disposal-spoiled foods, garbage, waste, proper thawing of foods, proper storage of raw foods, proper sanitation of work areas, table, etc.

  • Job conduct, professional responsibility, dress, in-service, committee activity, and continuing education requirements
  • Interpersonal Relationships
  • Maintains quiet, clean, safe physical surroundings and follows Infection Control Policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Must be able to work Monday - Sunday, holiday, weekends
  • Mornings or nights
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have 6 months of food retail experience
