  • Supervises fitness floor assuring proper and safe use of all equipment by members. 
  • Is familiar with emergency procedures and carries out first responder duties as necessary. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the wellness center director or as may be required to meet emergencysituations. 
  • Performs one-on-one personal training with clients using modern, safe and motivating strategies. 
  • Utilizes risk categories and generalized exercise recommendations in prescribing exercise and acting as health coach foradults of varying levels of health. 
  • Assist in implementing various health promotion activities/event for center members. 
  • Takes accurate blood pressures and heart rates as needed on clients.
  • Oversees routine maintenance and cleanliness of all exercise equipment. 
  • Handles sales of miscellaneous items.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Health and Fitness related field.
  • Certification by a nationally recognized exercise professional organization.

Preferred Requirements

  • 2 or more years experience in a health realted field, experience as group exercise instructor and/or personal trainer
