Position Summary

  • The Endoscopy Technician is responsible, under the direction of the physician, for the assistance of diagnostic and therapeutic Gastroenterology and Pulmonary endoscopic procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 1-2 yrs of formal training/education is required.
  • Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program or Certification from a Military Program with comparable on the job experience required.
  • Surgical Technician degree preferred.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification preferred
  • CBSPD Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor Preferred
  • Advanced Endoscopy Procedure Experience Preferred
  • BLS Required
  • Advanced Certification (AGTS) SGNA certification for GI techs preferred
  • 3 years to 5 years experience in endoscopy required
  • Surgical Tech with experience in assisting with Endoscopy procedures in an OR setting may substitute for years of experience.

  • Day shift with some night call
