Position Summary

  • The endoscope reprocessing technician is responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of all lab equipment, including the reprocessing of all endoscopes.
  • The reprocessing technician will assist with monitoring quality related to scope reprocessing and maintain high level disinfection equipment and storage of endoscopes.
  • The endoscope reprocessing technician will also be a resource on the unit for disinfection processes.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of principles and practice of high-level disinfection and infection control
  • Knowledge of high-level disinfection equipment handling and maintenance
  • Good Communication skills
  • AHA BLS CPR certification required
  • CBSPD Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor Preferred
  • 1 year to 3 years experience in endoscopy is required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association is required.
