Position Summary

  • Completes performance, assurance and safety tests on medical equipment.
  • Repairs nurse call systems and intercoms.
  • Maintains proper documentation in compliance with JCAHO and other regulatory agencies.
  • Repairs minor lab and medical equipment.
  • Repairs the hospital's antenna system and amplifiers.
  • Repairs televisions.
  • Assist mechanics in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Repairs all non-medical electronic equipment.
  • Accounts for 75-80% of time worked.
  • Accounts for parts used.
  • Assists with installations and repairs of antenna systems, intercom systems, and nurse call systems for outside Vidant Health facilities.
  • Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems at outside facilities through Health Access.


Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or education in Electronic Servicing is required.
  • Up to 1 year Electronic experience is required.
