Vidant Health offers comprehensive Information Technology (IT) services and infrastructure to support and enable all aspects of organizational operations. Our IT division consists of a state-of-the-art data center located in Greenville, NC. The data center services all information technology needs of Vidant Health facilities. All Vidant Health owned or leased hospitals are on a common IT platform, including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses Epic's suite of applications. Vidant Health has achieved Meaningful Use Stage 2 recognition and is also approaching Stage 7 for HIMSS Analytics’ Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model (EMRAM) recognition.

Position Summary

  • This position is responsible for day-to-day problem solving current and future implementations, architectural updates, and systems enhancements of the Perceptive platform.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve daily exceptions and errors.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, with prefered experience in Design/Deployment of Enterprise Content Management Systems.
  • Experience working with functional users to extract detailed requirements and producing actionable requirements.
  • Provide ECM technology subject matter expertise to business units, development, and project teams.
  • Provide daily application support of ECM implementation through managing system configuration, operations, incidents and issue resolution.
  • Provide support for the adoption and business value of Content Management technologies with Vidant Health business units.
  • Provide support in the implementation planning, QA, and user testing of software updates and system changes.
  • Trouble shoot and resolve ECM software and infrastructure incidents and problems.
  • Work with business users and the ECM development team to deliver business value and user adoption of ECM technologies in Vidant Health business processes.
  • This position is required to rotate on-call responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent work training and experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of  programming / systems analysis experience with emphasis in applications and systems architectural design and development, database and middleware technologies required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in troubleshooting applications required.
  • Epic experience preferred.
  • Content Management experience preferred.
  • Interface Engine experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL and SDLC processes a plus.
  • Ability to provide value-added support to one or more applications with limited supervision.
  • Independently motivated to seek knowledge in areas pertaining to their current position.
  • Self-educates and/or seeks knowledge from mentors / management of VIDANT HEALTH enterprise, Information Services environment, and VIDANT HEALTH operations and relevance to their position.
