Vidant Health is conducting a national search for a Director of Experience Design. The Director of Experience Design coordinates strategic plans to promote and improve patient, family, and team member experiences across Vidant Health. We are looking for a strong transformational leader that has been successful in leading innovations to improve the overall healthcare experience. 

The Director of Experience Design collaborates and partners  with Human Resources, Organizational Development and Marketing and Communication across Vidant Health and reports directly to the Chief Experience Officer. The Director of Experience applies experience design principles to policies, programs, facility design, staff practices, and professional education. 

The following are additional highlighted responsibilities of the Director of Experience Design:

  • Measures changes and improvements (outcomes) and structure plans for dissemination of results. 
  • Provides  oversight for the Office of Experience in Experience Design and is accountable for operating and capital budgetary development, resources, and financial management of areas of reporting. 
  • Produces and provides reports and updates to executive leadership and Board of Directors in conjunction with the Chief Experience Officer (CXO).  
  • Serves as a consultant and advocate on design of patient, family, team, and environmental experiences. 
  • Accountable for leading for a positive organizational culture in conducting business, decision making and performance management to influence work attitudes and enhance experiences of team members and patients.

Minimum Requirements

  • Masters Degree is required.  Health care related leadership experience is preferred

  • 5 - 7 years of leadership experience, project management or leadership in hospitality is required
