Position Summary

This position will be responsible for day to day operation of Vidant Medical Center Occupational Health Program.


  • Manage the OH / WC Clinic
  • Oversee and manage daily operations
  • Manages drug screen program and collaborates with Insight / Risk / MRO as needed. Manages OH / WC clinic budget
  • Manages OH and WC personnel
  • Provides annual evaluations and other evals as needed (ie; disciplinary action)
  • Oversees / develops orientation plans for new employees
  • Maintains staff personnel folders and assures JCAHO compliance
  • Oversees and approves employee time and attendance
  • Responsible for the coordination, administration and evaluation of workers compensation program
  • Oversee and directly participate in the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of injury prevention programs and processes
  • Collaborate with Employment on RTW management
  • Participate and provide leadership for multidisciplinary care management team in care of injured Vidant Health workers
  • Oversees Vidant Medical Center Infection Control Program
  • Maintains appropriate surveillance data / reports to IC
  • Collaborates with Infection Control on IC policy related to employee illnesses, outbreaks, or other special circumstances
  • Oversees blood exposure program
  • Act as back up for CH Administrator in her absence
  • Resource for Vidant Health OH / HR re: medical aspects of leave programs

Minimum Requirements

  • Four year college degree
  • BSN or Associate degree in Nursing
  • 1 to 3 year related work experience
  • Licensure, registration or certification
  • NC Licensed RN; COHN-S preferred
  • Associate Nursing Degree + 5 years nursing experience and 1-2 years of leadership experience
