Our partnership with Vidant Health enhances our wide range of services and improves the quality of care our patients receive. More than 20 specialties are represented by Vidant Edgecombe Hospital's medical staff, assuring the people of Edgecombe county that almost all their health needs can be met right here at home. Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the delivery of all human resource programs to managers and staff and serves as a business partner. This position will include being a part of the Hospital Leadership Team, as well as the Vidant Human Resources Leadership Team. This position will have direct responsibility for developing, implementing and administering all employee related programs, and activities, as it relates to employee engagement, talent acquisition, employee onboarding, change management, employee relations, total rewards and employee wellness. This position will also establish relationships with Vidant system Human Resources subject matter experts in Total Rewards, Recruitment, Organization Development and HRIS in order to bring the appropriate programs and support to Vidant Edgecombe. This position has direct responsibility for the core Human Resources functions, as well as the Education Department, Occupational Health and the Volunteer Program.

Minimum Requirements

  • This positions requires a Bachelors of Science in Major Business Human Resources Management or related field.

  • Advanced degree is a plus, but not required.

  • Five to seven years of progressive HR Leadership experience required with experience leading teams.

  • Demonstrated experience with leading change efforts, skilled in collaboration, consensus building and influencing.

  • Human Resources professional certifications are preferred, but not required.
