Responsibilities

  • Serves as an internal consultant to develop strategic market plans to achieve growth plans of priority programs and services within the assigned service lines or departments.
  • Participates in strategic planning, business development and key operations meetings for assigned service lines. Assists operational and clinical leaders, marketing leader and director of planning to develop growth strategies and initiatives, helps to enhance the knowledge and understanding of effective marketing practices Gathers and assesses necessary data and information to form strategic marketing recommendations; involves appropriate administrative, clinical, physician and other leaders in the strategic marketing design. Works with planning and organizational leaders to develop and recommend marketing budgets and investments to support strategies. Utilizes quantitative and qualitative market information to guide analysis of competitive and industry trends as related to designated service lines. Identifies the need for primary and secondary research to support marketing planning; identifies, evaluates and selects methodologies and resources; analyzes and reports findings; incorporates insights into decision-making. Utilize brand standards to plan the strategic implementation of all marketing initiatives.
  • Responsible for successful implementation of integrated strategic marketing plans. Utilize appropriate communications programs, events, promotional campaigns, digital marketing and collateral materials to drive demand for core services.
  • Develops cross-channel promotions strategies incorporating traditional methods along with web, social and mobile technologies. Provides project leadership and/or team supervision for marketing, communications, digital, sales and other staff assigned on a permanent or ad hoc basis to support marketing initiatives; provides direction to and management of business partners and vendors. Manages project budgets and seeks ways to achieve unidentified efficiencies. Establishes metrics to evaluate effectiveness of campaigns. Provides marketing input as member of strategic planning and business planning workgroups. Participates in ongoing discussions with planners to share planning and marketing information.
  • Monitors and reports on key performance metrics for strategic marketing efforts; recommending adjustments as needed to achieve goals. Utilizes established metrics to evaluate effectiveness of marketing plans and campaigns. Makes presentations as appropriate to key health system and product line leadership. Evaluates new marketing trends and competitor activities and makes recommendations for enhancements or changes to strategic marketing plans.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required in a related field, preferably in Marketing, business administration, journalism.
  • The required education may be substituted by demonstrated experience and expertise in the public relations/marketing field on a year for year basis. Highly organized with a strong ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Five to seven years marketing management experience with a demonstrated track record of success in marketing strategy planning, program development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of health care industry preferred.

  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
