Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.



  • Performs Courier and transport duties as assigned. Transports specimens to and from nursing units, physician offices, and other medical areas; helps with mail pickup and delivery; aides other departments in coordinating pickup deliver or equipment and supplies in an accurate and timely manner within range of ability, thereby providing an efficiently operated hospital system.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • Valid Driver's license

  • Familiar with NC Driving regulations

Preferred Requirements

  • Courier Experience


  •  Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Willing to work a schedule where you are called in to cover a shift

  • Willing to work part-time where hours may change from  week to week

  • Willing to work a flexible schedule where might not have any standard hours for a period of time
