Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Responsibilities

  • The Correspondence clerk is responsible for ensuring that all activities regarding release of information and correspondence are completed in a timely manner and assures that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.   In addition, the correspondence clerk assists the Health Information Services department in completing various duties in the department. 

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in general office duties

Other Information

  • Full time position with benefits.

  • Monday-Friday
