About Vidant Medical Center

Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that the project/program supports the missions, goals and values of Access East,  Vidant Medical Center , Vidant Health,  Pitt County Indigent Care, Inc. and/or other community based organizations serving the Medicaid population.
  • Regularly reviews plan objectives to determine compatibility with Access East, Vidant Medical Center, Vidant Health, and PCIC, Inc.'s mission, goals, and values.
  • Recommends appropriate modifications based on reviews.
  • Responsible for the coordination and development of a vision, strategic plan and operational plan with which to operate the project/program in assigned district.
  • Leads development team and oversees the framework for program's strategic plan in assigned district.
  • Coordinates and oversees committee structure to include appropriate members of organizations and the community Works collaboratively with other Project Coordinators to integrate services throughout the region.
  • Implements strategies to foster collaborative community relationships.
  • Accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of plan services to enrollees.
  • Assesses enrollee's needs in the community through various channels
  • Recommends, coordinates and collaborates the development of programs to meet enrollee needs based on their assessments and input from the community.
  • Assists in implementing programs and evaluating the success of each program to ensure quality and efficiency, while avoiding duplication of internal and external efforts.
  • Utilizes principle of Rapid Cycle Quality Improvement in program development.
  • Collaborates with the Medical Director, County Health Directors, ECU School of Medicine, Hospitals, Physicians and Physician clinics, and other community organizations and agencies to assure coordination of plan services.
  • Maintains regular communication with the Medical Director Director, CCPEC.
  • Collaborates with all project partners to support continuum of care and enhanced enrollee outreach.
  • Maintains regular contact with community leaders and organizations serving enrollees to enhance the effectiveness of program initiatives.
  • Participates as necessary on various boards, committees and workgroup as program representative.
  • Accountable for daily operations of assigned district.
  • Provides overall coordination of program development.
  • Manages program budget, fiscal affairs, allocation of resources, and financial transactions.
  • Monitors program activities, assuring that contract deliverables are met.
  • Monitors contractual services and reports Inconsistencies to Director and/or Administrator.
  • Develops a high level of proficiency in the software programs utilized by project staff.
  • Assists in the resolution of recipient complaints.
  • Participates in the acquisition of grant funding to sustain programs.
  • Serves as a liaison to various internal and external agencies and community groups.
  • Represents the project/program in Vidant Health and in activities directed toward the public.
  • Provides reports and presentations when appropriate.
  • Provides Director with regular progress reports.
  • Provides ongoing reports to the Office of Rural Health and Community Care required by contract 

Minimum Requirements

  • Masters Degree required in Nursing, Business, Public Health, Public Administration or any other health related field.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years experience working with multiple medical disciplines and community groups in a variety of settings.
  •  Experience may be  substituted for Master's degree.
