About Vidant Medical Center
Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.
Develops and implements Access East Communications, with specific goals and dates of completion for target audiences including but not limited to: physician practices, patients/enrollees, hospitals and elected officials.
Ensures all communications are consistent with Community Care of North Carolina and Access East branding efforts.
Establishes relationships and maintains dialogue with the media by: creation and/or distribution of press releases, assuring accurate coverage for events and stories, providing information to reporters through interviews. Managing external and internal inquiries via telephone, in person, and email to achieve coverage consistent with Access East goals.
Maintains visibility of Access East within the community and throughout the state by: Creating marketing materials, brochures and flyers for Access East functions, events, workshops and trainings. Creating, editing, and circulating Access East newsletters and reports as needed. Managing creation/maintenance of Access East website and social networking sites. Creating and supports planning and marketing of special events.
Adheres to the general Vidant Medical Center standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building, while maintaining professional development, identifying and participating in personal learning needs through related training and in-services.
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field required. Master's preferred.
Valid NC driver license is required.
1 - 3 years experience in the workplace with healthcare experience preferred.
