Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.

 

We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our Transplant Team!

Position Summary

  • Monitoring of teaching service patients, medication and nutrition therapy.
  • Provision of drug information and Pharmacokinetic/nutritional support consults.
  • Educate health care professionals on pharmacotherapeutic management.
  • Serves as a liaison on medication related issues.
  • Precepting and mentoring pharmacy students and pharmacy practice residents.
  • Participates in adverse drug reaction reporting program.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Doctorate in Pharmacy.
  • Must be a licensed Pharmacist in the State of NC or license eligible.
  • Must possess a Doctorate in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • 3 months to 1 year  of specialized pharmacy residency training is preferred.
  • More than 2 years of experience in practice area may substitute for residency training.
