Position Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating referral requests for specialty services received from physicians throughout eastern North Carolina. This position provides assistance and support to the Provider Relations staff. This person will act as a liaison between patients, providers and staff members for patient referrals and follow up needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus 2 years or more formal training/education required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • EPIC and Insurance verification experience is preferred.
  • Experience in health care or related field is required.
  • Knowledge of HIPPA regulations is required
  • Strong customer service focus and willingness to problem solve is required
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment?? is required
  • Ability to demonstrate independent judgment is required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities is required
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel) is required
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology is required
