  • Prepare surgical and special procedure trays for designated areas according to prescribed procedures. Wrap and/package items for specified areas according to procedures prescribed for designated area. Must be able to operate appropriate tracking system software for instruments..
  • Work with Operating Room personnel to ensure surgical trays are assembled correctly and handled in prescribe manner.
  • Precept new hires and work as a resource person for Central Service Technician I & II.
  • Participate in quality assurance/improvement projects as specified by management on an annual basis.
  • Assist Central Service Technician I/II with certification process.
  • In additional to responsibilities noted in the Central Service Technician I & II:
  • Extensive knowledge regarding processes used in decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assembling and packing medical/surgical material to  include but not limited to linen, surgical instruments and equipment according to established  standards and procedures to ensure a sterile and functioning supply of materials.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent required.
  • 3-4 years of experience to acquire advanced knowledge of central services and sterile processes..

Other Information

  • 1 full time position 11:00 pm - 7:00 am.
